Two stubborn Koreans are pleased to make Melbourne home.
The Owner and Head Chef Steven JH Ryu and Venue Manager SJ Min.
Steve graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York in 2008. His focus was to learn Asian cuisine. He trained in New York at MASA (a three Michelin starred Japanese restaurant), and the cutting-edge restaurant Momofuku Ssam in NY. After this he moved to Australia, his first job in Melbourne was at Lucy Liu Kitchen and Bar.He then continued his training at Spice Temple. (Two hats Chinese restaurant).
SJ Min completed her Bachelor Degree of Restaurant and Catering Management at Le Cordon Bleu in Adelaide. She has been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years since then.
Her first job in Melbourne was at Maze, by Gordon Ramsey. Over the last 6 years then she has worked for the Lucas group at Chin Chin and Kisume.
